UNIT 731

UNIT 731 was formed in late 2005 by friends
from the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area.
Influenced by local "Steel City" Beatdown
legends NO RETREAT, BUILT UPON FRUSTRATION
and END OF HUMANITY.

The name comes from UNIT 731 of the Japanese
military which existed throughout WW2. UNIT
731 was involved with HUMAN experimentation
(testing of diseases, vivisection, severing
limbs to measure blood loss, explosives
testing on human subjects, effects of
frostbite on the body, replacing human blood
with animal blood, effects of pressure
chambers and centrifuges.)

UNIT 731 played a TON
of shows in their short existence with
well-known US Hardcore outfits like HOODS,
MERAUDER, CDC, DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR,
DAMNATION A.D., BUILT UPON FRUSTRATION, WAR
OF AGES, FURIOUS STYLES, xREPRESENTx, TASTE
THE STEEL only to name a few.
