Straight To Your Face is a metal influenced hardcore band hailing from Elsinore, Denmark. As you can already figure out from the name the guys formed the band to play "straight to your face" hardcore with merciless attitude. In 2005 the band put out their first demo CD which contained 4 tracks and now a year later it..s time for us to witness the birth of their first full-length "No Turning Back". This album was released independently and it consists of 11 pissed off hardcore tracks.

Like usually on old school hardcore albums the average song length is about 2 minutes or less. The sound world on "No Turning Back" is also quite raw giving the album a true hardcore feeling. About the music, Straight To Your Face plays quite traditional metal influenced hardcore with old school attitude. The band have shared the stage with bands like 25 Ta Life which is quite a good comparison to S.T.Y.F..s sound. The "in-your-face" attitude continues throughout the whole album and the song structures are pretty much similar to each other. Nice little breakdowns every now refresh the sound a bit and low-tuned guitar riffs just darker the atmosphere. As a standout tracks I mention "No Turning Back" and "United Forever" which have more like a death metal than metal vibe in them.

Straight To Your Face..s "No Turning Back" is a huge step forward from their demo-times. Because of the raw sound you can easily get an old school hardcore feeling out of the record that is surely made by "in-your-face" attitude from the beginning to the end. This is definitely a good album and I am quite sure that fans of Madball and 25 Ta Life will get a lot of enjoyable moments while listening to these guys !
